Kajabi’s Price Hike: What It Really Means for Course Creators

Kajabi just dropped their first-ever price hike, and let’s just say… creators are not taking it well.

Every plan. Every price. Going up.

There’s already a petition doing the rounds:
📝 “Don’t Leave Your Loyal Users Behind”

And honestly? It’s kind of a mess.

Let’s break it down 👇

What Actually Changed?

Kajabi’s framing this as their first price change since 2015.
They’ve added some legit features — podcasts, newsletters, communities, branded apps, and APIs.

And now they want more 💰 to keep building.

Fair enough.

But here’s the kicker:

➡️ If you stay on your old plan, you keep paying the same… but you don’t get any new features.

➡️ If you move to the new plans, you get the goodies — but it costs more across the board.

Here’s what that actually looks like 👇

  • Basic Plan → Now includes 5 products, but contact limit drops to 2,500

  • Growth Plan → Adds cohorts + 50 products, but goes up by $40/month

  • Pro Plan → Unlimited products, but $80/month more

Even the add-ons are pricier.
5,000 extra contacts? Now $25 extra.

Same business. Higher bill. And a lot of creators are asking:

👉 “What the hell are we actually paying for?”

Creators Are Organising — Not Just Complaining

This isn’t just people having a moan on Twitter (sorry… X 🙄).

There’s a legit petition.
Reddit threads full of blindsided users — especially the ones who paid annually.

The vibe?
It doesn’t feel like an upgrade.
It feels like a loyalty tax.

And while big companies might shrug this off, for solo creators, every extra cost matters.

Especially when you’re still stuck with limits, add-ons, and confusing tiers.

When you build your digital business on the wrong platform, your clarity gets taxed — along with your wallet.

So... What Are the Options?

You’ve got time — these new Kajabi prices don’t kick in until January.

But if you’re already thinking “maybe it’s time to jump ship” — there’s good news:

👉 EzyCourse is helping people move from Kajabi, for free.
Yep. Free migration. No lost time or data.

And it’s not just about price.
Here’s what made me switch:

  • Unlimited courses on all plans

  • No tight student caps

  • Communities with channels, group chats, and built-in live streaming

  • Branded mobile app (without selling your kidney)

  • Built-in email, affiliate, and gamification — no bolt-ons required

I’m saving money every single month.
And I’ve unlocked features Kajabi either charges extra for… or doesn’t have at all.

Don’t Wait for Renewal Day

If you’re still on Kajabi, don’t sleep on this.

The new pricing drops in January, but if you’re gonna switch platforms — start now.
EzyCourse even holds your hand during migration.

And if you're thinking “I'm not sure what platform I even need,” that's where clarity comes in.

If you're in the IDEA or PLAN stage, platform confusion is the fastest way to stall your progress.

Keep it simple. Know what you need. Pick the tools that work for you, not against you.
