And when you do get home? The aim is a dog who's had something worthwhile to do with their day and is ready to settle with you.

Home visits
I can visit your dog at home for company, food, water, toilet breaks and attention. Useful while you're working, out for the day or when your dog needs someone checking in.

Dog sitting & day sits
For dogs that need more supervision or simply don't do well being left alone. This can be particularly useful for younger dogs, older dogs and dogs that need company during the day.

Longer adventures
Got an active dog but temporarily can't give them the exercise they're used to? Longer walks and outings can help keep active dogs doing what they love.

Sometimes loving your dog means getting a bit of help.
Needing a dog walker or sitter doesn't mean your dog matters any less. Usually, it's exactly the opposite.

Meet Tianey
I don't just want to walk dogs. I want to understand them.
I'm Tianey Jade Howes, and I've spent a lot of time around dogs of very different shapes, sizes and temperaments, from Labradors and hounds to Lurchers and Shih Tzus.
One of the things I find most interesting about dogs is that you can't treat every breed, or every individual dog, exactly the same. Their energy, temperament, background and what they were bred to do all matter.
Labradors and working breeds are a particular interest of mine, but AV Canines is open to dogs of all breeds. My job is to get to know the dog you've actually got in front of me.

Exercise matters, but so does mental stimulation. A dog that's spent the whole day bored and waiting for you can have a lot left in the tank by the time you finally sit down.
The right walk or visit gives them something to do, somewhere to explore and someone to interact with. For energetic and working breeds in particular, understanding what makes that dog tick can make a real difference to how worthwhile their time outside is.
